The AGM provided an opportunity to find out more about what has been going on in the past year and to be updated about our successful bid for funding from East Sussex County Council. We secured funding for the next 3 years to provide our highly effective Low Vision Support Service, the Enhanced Skills Training courses and some support for our Aids and Equipment Service from the Resource Centre. |
| One of the key developments in the future will be that EBS, as part of East Sussex Vision Care consortium, will now take responsibility for the first stage of the process of registration to the blind register in East Sussex. The County Council will continue to send out packs and registration card to all who are eligible, and who wish to be registered, but initial assessment for Eastbourne will now be carried out by EBS. This represents a significant development in the process. | |
Those who attended the AGM enjoyed a delicious tea and took part in a raffle helping to raise valuable funds. |
| The AGM is usually held in September each year and details are sent out on the Talking News, through the welfare visitors, social afternoons and on the website. Contact us for information nearer the time about next year’s AGM. | |
