Exercises SittingThis is a new group, led by a member of Eastbourne Blind Society who is a trained teacher with a British Wheel of Yoga Diploma.
This is not Yoga, but consists of
exercises designed to promote well-being. |

Walking GroupWe have a walking group, which meets regularly to walk along the promenade as far as Holywell where they break for refreshments before returning. A gentle, supervised walk to get the fresh sea air into the system. |

Bowls ClubThe Society has a thriving Bowls club. Members play both home and away matches against other Bowls Clubs from other towns and villages and have regular, non-competitive roll-ups. |

The club will sorely miss Stan and Catherine Jenner as they move away to Ireland on 24th August 2011. |
Stan, our coach/manager has been there to organise, re-organise and re-re-re-organise matches and roll ups week in week out and Catherine has been our life saver organising the teas. This is a huge understatement of the work they have both done for us and we are very grateful to them both for the time they have given to the club. |
Our last roll up with them will be on Saturday 13th August when we will have an opportunity to express our thanks, Stan's last game with us is on Saturday 20th away to Hampden Park which, incidentally, is where Stan says he started bowls in Eastbourne. |
We wish them every happiness and all the very best with their move. Steady with the Guinness, Stanley!! |
